We understand that students want more than just an education during their time at Teesside University, they also want opportunities to pursue an interest or develop a new one, make new friends, gain new skills and experience new things. One of the main reasons the Students' Union exists is to enhance the student experience and one of the key ways we achieve that objective is through our Activities Centre, Clubs, Societies and volunteering opportunities
The Activities Centre
The Activities Centre provides a range of support and help with development to clubs, societies and volunteers. Staff are on hand to help with club and society administration, organising events and activities and putting students in touch with volunteering opportunities both within the University and out in the community. Staff also work closely with the Student Activities Officer to develop sport and leisure opportunities at the Students' Union and organise major annual events like our two sports Varsities and the Annual Awards Dinner.
Our activities are run by students and are fully supported through the Activities Centre with training, advice and a variety of recognition schemes.
The centre is situated at the front of the 1st floor of the Students' Union, opposite reception and is open as follows
Opening Hours: 10am - 4pm Monday to Friday during term time
