The Hub is the Teesside University Students’ Union night club and big event venue. Built in 2007 and with capacity to hold up to 1,000 people, the Hub hosts state of the art sound and lighting, in both the main room as well as ‘Room 2’ a fully fitted bar and full air-conditioning. With the option of being able to hire the venue as a whole or in its separate components, The Hub is quickly gaining a reputation as one of the best places to host entertainment in the north-east.Such is the success of the nights held in the venue by both the Students’ Union’s Entertainment and promotional team, as well as numerous outside organisations that choose to book and play here, that the Teesside University Students’ Union won the “Best Bar None – Northern Winner” Award for 2008.

Evening Receptions & Parties

We are able to cater for up to 1000 guests in our purpose built facilities on campus. The Students' Union boasts three rooms that all have their own unique features. The Hub is the largest of our venues with a large dance floor and extensive sound and lighting facilities. Within the Hub is Room 2 which can be used a part of your event in The Hub or a conference or meeting room.  The Terrace Bar is a more intimate room for smaller celebrations which benefits from its own heated balcony. All the rooms are located within the Students’ Union Building providing excellent disabled access. Our trained staff can set up a room to suit any occasion with a range of round and square tables and seating from 50 to 500!

Wedding Receptions

Celebrate that special day without breaking the bank. Our venues can deliver a top class reception at an affordable price. Choose from our extensive range of buffet options starting at just £7.00! We also offer services that can provide you with all the little extras in order to make your special night even more memorable. We are able to organise everything from a live tribute act to a live chart band, chocolate fountain, balloon artist and much more.
