Activities Development Coordinator
£20,632 per annum, 12 month fixed term contract, 25th June 2018 to 25th June 2019.
“Our Students’ Union represents all of the students of Teesside University and provides a range of services for its 20,000 student members who rank it in the UK Top 10%. We are a registered charity with an annual income of £3 million, nearly 300 staff and 800 volunteers. We operate a wide range of services for students including:
- Social spaces, meeting rooms, and training spaces for students
- SU Student Support - advice and advocacy on finances, housing, and academic issues, jobs service
- SU Activities with over 90 student clubs and societies led by student volunteers and a range of other activities
- The Terrace bar, The Hub venue, and the SU Shop
With our current Activities Development Coordinator taking a career break for 12 months we are looking for an enthusiastic, well organised individual with a wide range of communication skills to support students who want to organise activities either as part of a society or from their own student community.
We have experienced accelerated growth in establishing new societies and their membership numbers over the last academic year and you will also be able to contribute towards that growth by being able to follow established plans and policy, while also having the opportunity to develop your own ideas during your fixed term contract.
You will have excellent prioritisation and problem solving skills, a flexible attitude to work and be able to work in a student-led environment.
