Middlesbrough Environment City is an independent charity that promotes healthy and sustainable living in Middlesbrough. We currently run Bikeability safe cycling training in Middlesbrough for Primary School Years 5 and 6 and pedestrian road safety training in Middlesbrough, Stockton and Hartlepool for Year 3 children.
We are currently looking for sessional workers who can be trained to deliver these programmes. Our instructors typically have an interest in sport, cycling, walking or working with children and in the past they have used the role to gain valuable, paid work experience. After training, work will be available on a sessional basis, depending upon demand for training and your availability.
Bikeability delivery requires formal training over four days leading to an approved qualification, the cost of which will be met by MEC. Pedestrian trainers are trained in-house.
