Ellie is the Net Zero Team Leader - Durham County Council, and I am passionate about forging a sustainable future. With a CIBSE qualification as a Heat Networks Consultant and an MChem from Newcastle University, my background in chemistry and energy development fuels my drive to make impactful changes. My role involves spearheading internal capital projects, such as deploying renewable technologies throughout County Durham, and engaging with influential key stakeholders to shape net zero policies and delivering projects on the ground.

I thrive on organising and participating in impactful events, including the Together Towards Net Zero webinars and workshops and the Climate Emergency Strategic Board, where I leverage my expertise in renewable energy, project planning, and compelling presentations. My goal is to contribute effectively to the council's vision of a low carbon future.

I bring a fresh, innovative perspective to our team, drawing from my academic and industry experiences, as well as my active involvement in community initiatives.
