The Students’ Union venues are suitable for multiple uses including our 620 and 1000 capacity main venues and our many break out rooms. We can accommodate your entire conference programme under one roof including conference dinner and social events. Our events team can advise on the best combinations for your event.



When it’s time to celebrate success over dinner and awards, we have the space for you. Our in-house team work hard to provide an outstanding experiences time after time. We excel in banqueting and gala dinners, whether stand-alone special occasions or as an integral part of a conference event. Our event and technical teams will suggest options to make your awards sparkle or simply support your preferred event partner. The Hub presents an elegant, cost effective setting for up to 350 dinner guests requiring no additional dressing. 




The Students’ Union boasts boasts 1000 sq.m of multifunctional space across 2 venues on the upper floor of our building. These spaces are designed to open in to each other for larger events or work as standalone venues for smaller exhibitions. Need something a little more intimate? We’ve hosted some of the biggest stars as well as a host of up and coming artists at the Students’ Union including Calvin Harris, Example, The Hoosiers, Scouting for Girls, Sigala, Jess Glynne, Sigma, Professor Green, Pendulum, Tinchy Stryder, Chase and Status, Katy B, Sub Focus, Pet Shop Boys and Funeral for a Friend to name but a few. We’ve also welcomed some of the biggest stars from the world of comedy including Michael McIntyre, Paul Sinha, Rob Beckett, Jimmy Carr, Russell Kane, Simon Amstell and Bill Bailey. And we’re the ideal place for live sporting events including MMA and boxing shows where we can accommodate up to 500 seated guests. That’s all supported by our industry standard sound and lighting equipment as well as a fast flowing counter service with a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.




From simple and elegant teas, coffees, cakes and buffet lunches to mouth-watering gala dinners and glittering banquets, we do them all. No matter if you just want the counter open for guests, a more formal drinks reception or even require table service we can meet your requirements. Our in-house hospitality team can offer a selection of menus to meet your needs and event type. All catering can be tailored around your dietary requirements and we can accommodate halal, vegan, gluten free, dairy free options and more.
